Basketball

So, basketball season started for Ryan and Julian. I've been pretty busy trying to make it to all their games but it's going to be impossible. I tried too hard last year and went overboard a bit so my vp had to say something to me. This year, I have to pick and choose the game I want to go to.

So, Ryan made it in his high school basketball jv team this year. They played 3 games already. He only played a minute or so in the first game and didn't score point in the first game. He was pretty upset but I told there's no point in getting upset and to just go out and do his best and see what happens. They lost the first game but his feeling was that if his coach had played him more, they would have won the game.

The second game, he play a whole quarter and scored nothing. He was happy that he got to play but sad that he didn't score. They won this second game by 3 points. Ryan promised himself that he has to score in the next game.

The last game they played, they won the game by 9 points. Ryan got to play a quarter plus more. He had 5 points in this game, two buckets with a three pointer. He was pretty happy happy.

Their next game is against a pretty good team according to Ryan so he's not expecting to win but of cause he will still do his best. I'll follow up with the result.

Last night, Julian's game was an exciting one. With 10 second left in the game, the score was 16 to 14 with the Bucks (Julian's team) trailing. In the last 4 seconds, Julian got the ball in his hand. As a center, he turned around and threw the ball up. The ball circled the rim a couple times before it decided to go in. The game is tied.

So we went in to a 3 minutes OT with the score at 16 a piece. With just over a minute left, Julian got the ball again. He shot but he missed. His teamate got the rebound and shot and made the basket. The other team is desperate now trying to even up the game with less than a minute to go. Everyone from both team was trying so hard. The bucks held on to the 2 points lead and won the game. It was a game played well and hard.
